The Full Story

I've started this site in the hope of connecting some birth families, sharing stories and raising awareness of what unmarried mother faced in the past and how that has affected their lives. 

Through our Facebook group I've been able to help some people, guiding them through the process of accessing records and even assisting a few by finding birth family members and making initial contact as an intermediary.

I was born at The Haven, kept by my mum and brought up as an only child, but since the age of 16 I've been aware that as well as a legitimate half-brother , I have another half-brother also born at The Haven to another mum.  In carrying out research to discover how to find him, I came into contact with others looking for birth links to the Haven, so I setup the Facebook group and now this site.
